What does the course cover...
Participants will learn basic software skills, how to design and start a project and the tools to commence analysis. This course is offered for either Version 7 or Version 8 and includes:
- setting up a project
- importing and creating documents and memos
- working with multimedia objects
- exploring ways of coding and viewing coding
- shaping and querying data
- creating models, charts and exploring visual displays of coding
- hands on experience using practical examples in real projects
What prior knowledge is required...
The workshops assume you have some prior knowledge of qualitative research, particularly what is involved in analysing qualitative data. Participants should have basic skills in using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Word. No prior knowledge of QSR NVivo is assumed.
How long is the course?
Courses can be designed to fit your group's needs and can range from a very basic one day introduction through to an intensive five day course. However, a minimum of two days is recommended for those wishing to attain a degree of mastery of the software.
