Leonie

Dr Daws will be offering a five-day intensive Introduction to NVivo course in Canberra as part of the ACSPRI Winter Program in July 2010.

After 10 years working with NVivo and earlier versions of QSR's qualitative data analysis software and providing training for her university colleagues, Dr Leonie Daws established Kihi Consultancies in 2000.

Prior to 2000, Leonie was Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Policy and Leadership Studies in Education at Queensland University of Technology.

Working within interdisciplinary teams, Leonie's specific professional interest has been in education and training.

Leonie was chief investigator in a program of research investigating the uptake of information and communication technologies in rural communities, funded collaboratively by the Australian Research Council, Telstra and a range of Queensland and Commonwealth government departments.

In addition to this research Leonie has also undertaken a range of research mapping government policy across state and federal jurisdictions.

Leonie first encountered QSR's software at an
ACSPRI Summer Program in 1989. She has continued her association with QSR and its products since then, including providing advice about revisions and acting as a Beta Tester for new versions of the software. She acted as a subject matter expert for QSR in the production new versions of NVivo.
